How do I wear the LadyCare device?

It’s so easy (and you’ll forget you’ve even got it on)!  The device is made of two parts, a large magnetic curved disc and a smaller directional device.  Just pull the two sections apart and place the  larger disc onto one side of your underwear, (thong, knickers, G string etc) next to your body and  the other smaller disc onto the outside of your underwear so the two parts are held firm.  Ideally the device should sit 4” from your belly button in any direction.

Do the same at night if you wear underwear but we know not everyone does.  So, instead, connect the two parts and placing the larger one against your body and the smaller facing outwards and tape the pair directly to your skin.  Always include the small, round button because it’s the important bit  as this is the directional device and is only effective when the two parts work together

In the shower, you could wear a wound protection patch because they’re shower proof (Boots stock these) or just take it off during showering and put it back afterwards.

Can I use LadyCare by Sassy La Femme to relieve breast discomfort?

Breast soreness is a common symptom of perimenopause. Breast tissue is full of oestrogen receptors as well as lymphatic vessels. This means that as we move into menopause, the lymphatic vessels are losing elasticity and the oestrogen receptors and fat tissue become confused with all the hormonal changes occurring as we move out of our reproductive phase The combination of changing lymphatic vessels and the receptiveness of breast tissue for excess oestrogen can contribute to swelling, pain and a condition called ‘oestrogen dominance.’ To help with this, place your LadyCare device inside your bra with the larger disc against your skin and the smaller disc facing outwards (or thereabouts) to ease any discomfort.

Can I exercise while wearing LadyCare by Sassy La Femme?

Of course! Wearing the device should not affect any activity. Quite the contrary we would expect with greater control of your hormonal imbalance you will feel enthuisiastic about taking control of all aspects of your life. On word of warning, remove the device before swimming as it might become irretrievably lost in water.

When will I feel the benefits of the device?

Every woman is different. Many women will start to feel the benefits of LadyCare within just a couple of weeks, but others will need to wear the device for the full, three-month period before the benefits kick in. We’ve conducted various studies over the years and the results show that around half of women using the device start to feel the benefits within just one month, whereas others report feeling much improved by the end of three months.  We’d say to get the best out of your LadyCare it’s really important to wear it 24/7 for a full three months but if it is not performing as we promise you may return the device for a full refund and the cost of carriage (£2.50)

I’ve dropped my LadyCare by Sassy La Femme in water – do I need to replace it?

Your LadyCare is a powerful little device and is covered a 3-year guarantee – it’s really robust!  All the seams are ultrasonically welded, and this ensures it is waterproof. We’ve even had numerous reports of it surviving washing machine accidents!

How does LadyCare by Sassy La Femme keep its power?

The device will not lose any power for at least five years and we know customers who have found it effective over twenty years! However, external influences can impact on its performance and so we also offer a no quibble three year warranty.

I’ve lost my button – can I get it replaced?

We supply a spare button in any event, as it likely you will lose one during your menopause cycle! However, we do sell the buttons separately. Just visit our online shop here to get a replacement.

Do I wear LadyCare for life?

Plenty of women have told us that they keep on wearing their device long after their perimenopause and menopause symptoms have stopped.  There’s no harm in doing sin continuing to wear Ladycare. Our studies show that LadyCare doesn’t just rebalance the autonomic nervous system (ANS), it may also provide other benefits such as:

  • Helping to reduce feelings of anxiety.
  • Helping to decrease bloating and water retention.
  • Improving sleep quality.
  • Encouraging better skin and hair condition
  • Boosting libido.
  • Reducing urinary problems.
Why has my LadyCare device stopped working?

Your device is powered by superconducting magnets which are extremely robust, and are unlikely to stop performing. However, external influences can interfere with the magnetic conductors rendering the strength of the magnet less effective.  No magnet is completely permanent. Heat, sharp impacts, stray magnetic fields and other magnet influences can all conspire to rob a magnet of its own field

A magnet gets its field when microscopic magnetic areas, called domains, line up in the same direction. When the domains cooperate, the magnet’s field is the sum of all the microscopic fields in it. If the domains fall into disorder, the individual fields cancel out, leaving the magnet weaker.

We offer a three year return warranty on the device performance.

Can the Ladycare stop working effectively on me?

Sometimes, it might feel like it’s no longer working and that can be due to a variety of factors. Other issues causing stress (family, finance, health), other medical events impacting on your lymphatic and metabolic systems. Sometimes, the device itself is no longer effective and it magnetic resonance is out of sequence with your body. Whilst you may not know the cause, we strongly suggest removing the LadyCare device just for 21 days.  During that time, your body will return to its pre-Ladycare status. At the end of 21 days wear your Ladycare device as if for the first time and it should respond as it did the first time, and effectively help you with your perimenopause/menopause symptoms.

Can I fly using my LadyCare by Sassy La Femme device?

Yes, you can fly,  wearing your device.  However, you might want to remove it and pop it into your hand luggage before entering security checks because the scanners will detect it.  While the majority of airport security staff are aware of LadyCare, it might save you some embarrassment if you simply take it off and replace it once you’re through security.

I’ve got a red mark on my skin just underneath where my LadyCare device is…

It’s rare – but it can happen!  If you’ve developed a red mark in your pelvic area, don’t worry, it’s simply because the device causes increased blood-flow just under the skin.  It will disappear as your body adjusts to the device and if the area’s a little sensitive, this too will disappear as your body adjusts to wearing the device.

Does LadyCare still work effectively after hysterectomy, or oophorectomy?

Yes – the device is designed for all stages of menopause, and all events experienced within menopause, including the removal of the reproductive organs and associated areas- uterine and ovarine.  Your hormones are still active even if disbalanced. In fact customers have found the Ladycare to be exceptionally effective after these medical procedures (see reviews)

Does the Ladycare work differently when you are perimenopausal from fully menopausal?

Perimenopause is the transitional period before a woman becomes fully menopausal.  During this stage, it’s entirely normal for periods to be erratic and once a woman hasn’t had a period for a full twelve months, she’s considered as fully menopausal.  We’ve created a dedicated section here all about the perimenopause to help you. The Ladycare does not distinguish between one stage and the other. It simply exerts its magnetic influence to impact on the ANS at all stages with the same power.

Should I be concerned about using LadyCare by Sassy La Femme if I’ve had or have breast cancer, or have breast cancer in my family?

In short, the device is safe for you to use. LadyCare has been found to reduce hot flushes, which are a possible side effect of Tamoxifen (or other oestrogen-modifying drugs), the drug prescribed for breast cancer.  It’s also perfectly safe for use for those with oestrogen-positive breast cancer, as it does not increase the levels of oestrogen in the body.  Since first lunched 25 years ago, there have been no reported adverse effects on breast, cervical or uterine health.

For more information on the topic, you might want to visit this link and hear what Miss Tena K Walters (Consultant Breast Surgeon) has to say about LadyCareShe is one of many doctors who recommend the device.

I’m on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) – can I still use LadyCare by Sassy La Femme?

Yes – you can still use LadyCare while on HRT.  If you decide to stop taking HRT, please consult with your doctor first.  We are not advocating Ladycare as a direct alternative to HRT. Some customers feel well enough to only using the device but others use both. They do not conflict

I’ve lost my button – can I get it replaced?

Yes, no problem just visit our online shop here to get a replacement.

Can I use LadyCare by Sassy La Femme if I wear a pacemaker or defibrillator?

There are no determinantal effects on using the Ladycare with pacemakers or defibrillators. If you wear a pacemaker you will have been advised to take care when in close with microwaves, mobile phones and security scanners because they emit an alternating magnetic pole that can interrupt performance.  However, LadyCare works differently because it emits a static, negative pole which has a different sphere of influence

Despite this, we are obliged to include a warning on our labelling regarding pacemakers due to legal compliance. We are obliged to  inform customers with pacemakers, or whose partners wear pacemakers to be on the alert. However, we can also tell you that LadyCare many of our customers wear pacemakers and to date, we haven’t received one single report of any adverse effects.

Can I wear LadyCare by Sassy La Femme with a Mirena coil or a copper coil?

Yes.  You can wear a Mirena coil or copper coil with LadyCare. In fact, we’ve had numerous phone calls from customers saying they were so delighted with the results of LadyCare that they decided to remove their Mirena coil!

I have a metal implant, will the LadyCare by Sassy La Femme affect it or cause an allergy/flare up an existing allergy?

No.  LadyCare is encased within a plastic shell along with ultrasonically welded seams. Therefore it can’t and won’t have any detrimental effect on allergies, nor should it cause any allergies.  As far as metal implants, which are mostly titanium, they are non-magnetic so there shouldn’t be any issues.

Is LadyCare safe to use with other treatments?

Of course, we want you to be safe and we receive a lot of queries about using the LadyCare device with other treatments.  We can confirm it is completely safe to use with the following:

  • Bodily metal implants.
  • Mirena coils.
  • Copper coils.

It is also safe for breast cancer patients, during treatment and post-treatment. Should you have any questions about the safety of using LadyCare, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly customer care team by clicking here.

My periods have stopped while on LadyCare by Sassy La Femme, is this normal?

Yes, it’s possible because as you approach menopause your periods become lighter and more irregular, eventually stopping entirely.  This is still perimenopause; you reach menopause once you’ve stopped having periods for 12 months.

Is it normal to bleed during use of LadyCare by Sassy La Femme?

The Ladycare device will not interfere with your menstrual cycle, so it is possible to still have periods when using a LadyCare device and even spot or bleed if you’re recently menopausal.  Light spotting can occur on rare occasions within the first 12 months after your periods stop.

What about having irregular bleeding – or heavy bleeding?

Progesterone is mainly secreted by the corpus luteum in the ovary during the second half of the menstrual cycle. It plays an important role in the menstrual cycle. Heavy and irregular bleeding is a consequence of a natural reduction of progesterone and a symptom of the transition to menopause (and also perimenopause).

Using LadyCare, the ANS (autonomic nervous system) is rebalanced.  The device can help with these symptoms and reduce the blood loss

Can LadyCare by Sassy La Femme help give my sex life a boost?!

Yes – the device can help to improve libido!  In most cases, a lower libido during menopause is due to decreased hormone levels in particular natural phytoestrogens. These decreased hormone levels in turn lead to vaginal dryness and tightness, which can cause pain during sexual intercourse. Menopause symptoms can also make you less interested in sex. By wearing the Ladycare device you regulate the hormonal imbalance and improve libido.

Can LadyCare by Sassy La Femme help me lose weight and reduce bloating?

We’ve seen some really encouraging results with trials on LadyCare by Sassy La Femme and bloating/fluid retention!  In a trial of 508 women, 99 lost on average 14lb over a 3-month period.  So it can help.

With reference to bloating, we get many thrilled customers tell us that after using LadyCare for several weeks, they no longer suffer with bloating, and they’ve even lost weight!

Does size or weight effect the efficacy of LadyCare by Sassy La Femme?

No – it doesn’t matter what shape or size you are; LadyCare can help to relieve those unpleasant menopause symptoms!  It’s for all women who are experiencing any symptoms of perimenopause or menopause.
